7 Movies That Should Be Theme Park Rides

Movies and Theme Park Rides. One of life's great combinations. Currently, there are plenty of movie-themed rides, most of them at Disney Parks. But they're about to have some stiff competition. (And when theme parks get competitive, we all win.)

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens this summer. If you've seen the previews, you know they've taken their time and done it right. All the hullabaloo has me thinking about what else should exist for those of us who love movies and theme parks.

If I had my way, the following films would be found at a theme park near you...

From Fangirl to Action Heroine?

I'm looking for ideas for a fun summer project. I want to experience what it would be like to go from fangirl to action heroine. It'll all be filmed and put up on another blog of mine ActionHeroines.net.

It was shaping up to be a summer of video production anyway, so why not add a passion project?

I envision a combination of a video diary/on-location shoots. I'd like to sample activities that action heroines are known for. For example, shooting firearms, learning martial arts, trying some stunt work, going bungee jumping, etc.

I sound like Napoleon Dynamite.

I'll tilt my hand to you, dear readers, the results are intended to be humorous. Anyone who knows me understands that I am not exactly the action heroine type. You can expect a fish out of water. There's some truth behind this ridiculous quest, but the results will hopefully be more on the funny side and less on the pathetic side.

I'll be looking to schedule segments from May through the first week of August.
